ETC Survey
Results of the sixth citizen survey show Independence residents are satisfied and
believe their City is progressing.
The survey was conducted in late 2010 by ETC Institute of Olathe, KS, to help determine priorities
for the community as part of the City’s on-going strategic planning process. This
is the sixth time the City has administered the survey, which is administered every
other year.
The seven-page survey was mailed to a random sample of City of Independence residents
in each of the four City Council Districts. In total, 640 households completed surveys.
The results have a 95 percent level of confidence with a precision of at least +/-
3.7 percent.
