Independence ARRA Project News and Updates
The City of Independence has been awarded $1,067,955.50 in American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) funds. These funds will be applied to the 39th Street Improvement project that will extend from Noland Road to Crysler Avenue. These improvements will change the roadway from two lanes to a 3-lane street with curbs, sidewalks, new drive approaches and an improved storm sewer system. This street improvement project is being administered jointly with Jackson County, Missouri.
